What was your first MC world? Did you like the seed? When was it released? What was your first night like? Did you use a texture pack? What was the result of your first house? Does you haz screenies?
Mine spawned in a forest biome, during alpha/beta 1.8. Taking a boat north a few hundred blocks would take you to some seaside cliffs. Sail inland along a river a bit, and you'd hit a little valley nestled between two mountains.
I gotta say, seeing this in my Oblivian IV pack filled with grazing cows and sprawling trees made me completely change my opinion about minecraft. (I had previously thought it was the most stupid and pixelated thing since peanut butter)

My first night was me, trying desperately to get back to mah beautiful home valley over and over again as creepers killed me at night. So I screamed at random people until they told me how to avoid monsters. The answer: A dirt box. And if that don't work? More dirt box.
I set up shop in the middle of the two mountains, overlooking the valley. I eventually handmade a mountain going around a wooden house and steps going down to the valley.
When I was done with SP (And this was my only SP world before Neon introduced the idea of a server), I knew the lay of the land like the back of my hand. Every inch, from spawn to the mountain, was mapped and marked. My shack was a earthy house, at first, and was transformed into a nordic-style castle.
And here are some pics! (Amazed I still have them):
