Some suggestions for court improvements:
- All court requests must be posted on the forums. - All participants have x days to chime in and a schedule can be set by a judge. - All evidence / comments can be made ahead of time in that thread. - When in session: All associated players are logged in with their character in the courthouse, and they are on mumble in a courthouse channel. I recommend some strictness for mumble usage, and lean heavily on that rather than text. Quit wasting time typing and bothering everyone not involved with spam in chat. ><
One of the ways to de-stress the position is to schedule ahead of time. Events, anything. Schedule both the start and the end. For example, if court sessions have a maximum of 15 minutes of live admin time, participants will post complete information well ahead of time in the threads.

I actually like this idea a lot. I second this motion!

Hmm, so the Admin has to run to the forums and back to settle something in court instead of just taking up the case right there in-game?
And another thing, I wouldn't want all of my private manners to be thrown up on the forums so the world can see the problems I'm having. What you're doing here is getting rid of the element of privacy. I can understand scheduling a court-date. (I like that idea in particular) However this stuff about it all going down in the thread is a bit Ludicris.
Also Admins are kinda inclined to help everyone they can. It comes with the job, thus limiting the time of court sessions (Some more important than others) might not be the best plan.
I hope I don't seem like an A Hole saying all of this, but I tend to look at big pictures.
